On-Demand Webinar: 2015 Antimicrobial Susceptibility Challenges (CLSI/CAP)

The College of American Pathologists (CAP) Microbiology Resource Committee and the CLSI Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST) Education Working Group partnered to deliver a webinar based on susceptibility reporting in the bacteriology (D and DEX) proficiency tests offered by the CAP. Listen to this webinar to review challenging susceptibility testing proficiency samples from recent years and refresh your antimicrobial knowledge. The webinar is presented in a case-based format and covers issues regarding AST of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
Program Objectives:

  • Discusses the CLSI AST documents and other resources available for current guidance on AST.
  • Lists appropriate agents to report on individual species when isolated from select body sites.
  • Discusses practical strategies for identifying, confirming, and reporting results for multidrug-resistant bacteria.
