Many laboratories are challenged with designing and implementing a comprehensive nonconforming event (NCE) management program, which has a broader scope than just addressing the individual NCEs. This informative webinar uses the CLSI document Nonconforming Event Management (QMS11) to explain a systematic approach to identifying and characterizing problem-prone processes in a medical laboratory’s path of workflow and within the supporting processes of the quality management system. This approach enables the laboratory to prioritize continual improvement initiatives, allocate resources, and implement improvements.
At the conclusion of this program, the participants will be able to:
- Describe the four key processes and associated activities for an effective NCE management program.
- Identify gaps in their own organizations’ NCE management programs.
- Understand potential resources available within QMS11 to assist in improving their own programs.
